Violetheart is infuriatingly beautiful. As it says below, she is concieted to the point of recklessness. And that would tolerable if she were not as wonderful as she claims- then cats could smugly point out her flaws as she tronces by.Personality:
Unfortunately, Violetheart is everything she claims to be, and then some.
Without the spots, her pelt is a snowy silver, like the pelt of a snow leopard, a comparison Violetheart brings up whenever possible. Her spots are a solid, inky black, that are evenly spaced on her sides and blur into tiger-like stripes at her belly and haunches. At her spine, dashes of black run down in staccato frequency. Her face sports the tabby 'M' and war stripes on her cheeks. She always wears a purple collar, a gift and formerly or a rogue. She is a perfect hybrid, rough and royal, grace and war. As much as you hate her, you admire her.
Then there is her physique- tall for a cat, lean, but with muscular legs. Her tail is whiplike. In combat, she is especially strong and agile, a deadly combination. However, she is not particularly fast in running long distances, and her stamina is not great.
Violetheart likes to call herself irreplacable. And as much as it pains them, over cats must admit she is right.
Violetheart is vain. Not the valley, alpha pregnant dog, Mean Girls stereotypical type of vain, mind you. Violetheart is beyond that. She is incredibly self assured. She has enormous faith in herself. And what's wrong with that, really?History:
On the surface, nothing. But then, Violetheart ignores her mother as a kit. Ignores her deputy as an apprentice. Ignores her deputy on patrols. Ignores her leader in battle. Suffers for it.
If Violetheart could rein in her arrogance, admit that other cats occasionally know better, she would be a perfect warrior. But Violetheart's conscience is marred. To her, concession equals loss.
The elders tell you the Violetheart's arrogance is faked. That she has doubts about her abilities so she makes a new persona, a pillar of confidence, a beacon of perfection. It isn't possible, they tell you. Or as one puts it, "That kit is messed up!" Violetheart laughs at that. She says that their jealous. Envious. Greedy. Cruel.
Who are you going to believe?
The elders, you idiot. You're going to believe a screwed up cat like that?Role Playing Example:
Let me explain. Violetheart's mother was abusive. She clawed at her cats when they did things wrong, and told them that they would be failures- weak, dumb. She commited suicide when Violetheart was 6 moons old. Violetheart was smart enough to act like she was grieving, like the death of her tormentor hurt. To be honest, she was nothing but glad.
Cats showered her with love, and her apprenticeship was put off a moon. Her brothers and sisters, who displayed none of the same feelings, were otrasized. They left the clan, tired of the pain they had experienced at every turn. To consul her then, her mentor gave her a purple collar that used to belong to the rogues. Violetheart has worn it every since.
Her mothers death fostered to things within her- a machevilian spirit, that told her to win at all costs. And a fear of failure. She would be the best. At all costs. She would prove her mother wrong.
She proved hard to train, headstrong and independent. As a warrior, she defied clan law many times- most notable when her naming ceremony took place.
As an apprentice, she was known as Tinypaw- a name anyone could see was no longer applicable. "But what are you going to do?" cats said. "Her mother is with Starclan now- you cannot defy her will."
Apparently Violetheart did not agree. When the leader opened his mouth to give her a new name, Tinypaw jumped up. "Starclan," she yowled, and the gathered cats gasped. "Is there is any reason that I should not shed this name, like this name has shed me?"
Cats waited in silence. Nothing
The nameless cat yowled again. "And is there any reason I should not be known as Violetheart?"
Again, nothing.
"Then from this day forth, I shall be known as Violetheart." She looked down at the crowd expecantly, and slowly they began to chant her new name.
The leader was furious of course. But it was the will of Starclan- and the will of Violetheart.
