A brown tabby is what you see...Personality:
Dappledpaw is a rather handsome brown tabby tom. His wonderful, lush fur is actually short and well-cleaned. It is more of a dusty brown color, sitting on his skin almost too perfectly. His body may be known as lithe and lean, helping him to run as fast as any Airclan cat. He may look small, starved, and scrawny, but the poor little feline is actually as content as can be. Really!
Dappledpaw's lush body travels up to his tiny head, rather small, but perfect for his body. His ears stick up proudly on the top of his head, easily pinned down. His forehead slopes a little forward, giving the impression of being mad, but you can't tell with all that fur covering it. The handsome pair of eyes stick out easily. Well, what color do you think? A pretty amber? A clear blue? Nope. A foggy yellow. Even so, they bright up everbody's day.
Dappledpaw's legs are the other highlights of his wonderful body. They are a sandy color, lighter than the rest of his body. Lean and muscular are two words that describe them perfectly. Even a rogue or loner can't help saying Wow. His tail is actually rather short, yet like his legs. It sticks out straight from his rear, giving the resemblance of a disbalanced feline. But he loves it anyways.
Dappledpaw is actually one of the rather silent apprentices. He doesn't care for bouncing around and having fun, but he can't help himself sometimes. Usually, he spends his time hunting, cleaning or practicing fighting moves. Actually, he's rather ambitious, wishing to be leader someday. He thinks that only good warriors practice everday until they tire themselves out, but he is yet to learn.History:
Dappledpaw always seems to impress his mentor in training. The extra work really does pay off. The highlight of his apprenticeship is fighting, unlike most cats who would rather have peace. Don't get me wrong, he loves hunting too. But there is something about fighting that just...gets him. Yet someday, he may take it a little too far.
Dappledpaw gets angry very easily. One mistake can be turned into a spitting, fighting battle. He tries to keep himself under control, but somehow, it just flows out of him. One of the reasons he likes to be alone. Looking for ticks on elders is the worst thing that this apprentice does. He hates it more than anything, and could accidently take it out on one of the elders. But that hasn't happened just yet.
Dappledpaw was born to loving mother, Gingerhaze, and proud father, Stripedclaw. The pair was known as perfect. They both loved each other, and were amazing fighters. Also, the two-some were the same fur-color, brown with stripes; tabby. Yet, there love was too pure. Stripedclaw vowed he would make himself leader, and promised to make Gingerhaze deputy. But all that changed when Gingerhaze found out she was to have kits. Stripedclaw was a bit dissapointed. He was growing older by the moon and he couldn't have kits and be the leader while keeping his promise.Role Playing Example:
Stripedclaw decided to try to have his kits become leader and deputy. He appeared everyday in the nursery, bringing fresh-kill to Gingerhaze. And in a wonderful new-leaf day, Gingerhaze gave birth to two kits. One female and one male. Shiningkit and Dappledkit. But when greencough swept through the camp later that new-leaf, Shiningkit went to join her ancestors. Dappledkit never knew his sister, but wishes she was still there.
Stripedclaw's dream came to an end when his daughter died. He grieved too, but not for the kit, but himself. That's what brought him to deliberately be killed by a badger when out hunting. Gingerhaze felt like her life had nothing left, and she started to starve herself. If Dappledkit wasn't there to encourage her not to, she probably would have died. Dappledkit continued his kithood sadly and boringly. No other kits were in the nursery at the time.
When the small Dappledkit finally became Dappledpaw, he seemed a bit more happy, and not so boring. But the boring never left him. Each day he suffered with no friends, sleeping and eating alone. Only his own mentor was his friend. He seemed like he would never escape his sadness and aloness, but he will someday. Or at least that's what Gingerhaze says.
After becoming an apprenticeOther:
The brown tabby curled up silently on the moss bedding of his new den. His eyes flickered with excitement, but with sadness too. Shiningkit should be her, he kept telling himself. A sniffle came from his nose, as though he was crying. Another apprentice across the den picked up its head, looking around. When it spotted the poor little tom it meowed, "Stop sniffling, will ya!"
Dappledpaw opened his eyes to see the early morning light flowing freely into the den. His pelt shone golden brown, causing the apprentice from last night to once again look at him, "Sheesh. Too much light. Get out of here!" Dappledpaw opened his mouth to protest, but closed it quickly. That apprentice must have been much older than him. He pulled himself up and let his muscles ripple under his fur as he stretched. His jaws gaped in a yawn as he padded out of the entrance.
Dappledpaw shook himself, shaking off the moss. Spotting his mentor, he raced over to him, only to be stopped by a flick of the tail. "Go meet the elders and care for their ticks for your first job." The apprentice let out a akward sigh and raced to the elder's den. The elders were still curled up next to each other, apparently enjoying the sunlight. "Hey, honey. You're the new apprentice, Dappledpaw, right?" The brown tabby nodded his head. At least one cat respected him.
