It was so boring inside the Nursery.
This was why at the moment, Bladekit was outside of his den, chasing a floating leaf that was being carried by the wind. Cats that passed by offered him a friendly glance or a purr of amusement as the kit struggled to keep up with the leaf.
A particularly strong gust of wind carried the leaf all the way across the campsite and out of the camp entrance. Sighing in disappointment, Bladekit returned to the den entrance, flopping down in front of the brambles. All over again, Bladekit was bored.
So now what was he to do? There wasn't many bugs out to chase down, and all the cats were busy doing whatever warriors do. A pang of longing hit Bladekit. He wanted to be an apprentice soon! He was five moons old, so that meant he would become an apprentice in a moon, so long as he behaved. Bladekit hadn't wandered from camp even once. Bladekit wasn't too rebellious when it came to rules, however boredom struck from time to time, and the camp entrence was looking lovely. Something stilled his paws, however, and he did not make an escape.
He could always go pester the medicine cat, Leafdapple. The smells of the herbs seemed almost familiar to the kit, though he hadn't memorized certain ones. He was only familiar of the deathberry, a berry that would kill if eaten. His mother had warned him sternly of that particular plant, so Bladekit steered clear of it.
Looking up at the sky he was thrilled to see only a few clouds drifting across the afternoon sky. His whiskers twitched in approval, and with his keen ears, he even heard the elders speak well of the weather as of late. Mostly they just complained about things. Although...they told wonderful stories. Maybe he'd ask his mother if he could go visit the elders later.
The sounds of the other kits inside of the nursery caused Bladekit's ears to rotate, catching the mewlings of the other kits. His brother and sister, Dashingkit and Falconkit, were in there at the moment too. Hopefully they'd come out. It was too nice out to go back inside to fetch them.

Flicking his orange gaze to the entrance where he could hear a kit playing. Pushing his way through the vegetation that hid the camp entrance, a strong gust of wind blew a leaf over towards him. He studied it curiously, and looked up, seeing the kit turn and walk back over to the nursery entrance. Remembering his days of boredom when he was a kit, and stuck all day inside camp made him chuckle just a bit. He was nearing his first year, and he could still remember the little adventures he and his siblings had taken out of the camp. He was actually impressed that this kit, Bladekit, had stayed within the camp. Frigidpaw wouldn't be able to do that.
Picking up the little green leaf between his teeth, he padded over towards the kit, and batted the leaf over towards him. He grinned, his tail flicked playfully. A playful growl rumbled from his chest, and he lowered his ears slightly.
"I bet you can't get it past me."
He challenged. He wanted to get the kit to play with him, so atleast his boredom could go away, and Frigidpaw would have some fun in the meantime. Bladekit was a baby when Frigidpaw had left the nursery, being that Frigidpaw was four moons older then the kit.

When would he get to finally become an apprentice?? Oh how he hoped Leafdapple would let him become the Medicine Cat Apprentice! Healing cats from their sicknesses and talking to StarClan would be so much more peaceful than the constant patrolling and fighting the warriors did. For now, however, Bladekit would have to settle for pouncing on leaves around the nursery.
Hearing footsteps walking his way, Bladekit's vivid green eyes looked up to see Frigidpaw walking towards him, the beloved leaf in his muzzle. It was hard to remember when Frigidpaw had been Frigidkit, because he was several moons older than he. However Bladekit never forgot how his mother told him of Frigidpaw's adventures outside the camp as a kit. It was a strong bit or temptation, the outside of the camp. It was just...there. Just out of reach. And yet, Bladekit could not leave, for fear of not becoming an apprentice.
"I bet you can't get it past me." A playful growl had introduced this challenge, and Bladekit wiggled his rump in the air in pleasure. An apprentice! Paying attention to him! Though Bladekit wasn't one to take on challenges that could lead to wrestling, he'd oblige Frigidpaw. After all, what else was there to do?
"Betya I can!" he mewed. taking the leaf in his muzzle and hurtling towards the apprentice. As he made to tackle the apprentice he let go of the leaf, hoping that this distraction would let the leaf drift past him.

Frigidpaw kept his eyes on Bladekit as he raced over towards him. Lowering his body closer to the ground, wiggling his rump as he waited for the kit to jump on him. Just as Bladekit made to lunge, he let go of the leaf, and the apprentice looked up. Bad mistake. He let out an oof! as the kit hit him, and Frigidpaw flipped over and landed on his back, the kit on top of him. Frigidpaw kicked with his back legs, and reached out with his paw, trying to bat the leaf away from his side.
The kit weighed alot on his stomach, but Frigidpaw was intent on getting the leaf. He extended his claws to give him a little bit more of a reach, his claw just snagging the edge, but not enough to propel it away. It dropped down onto his head and the apprentice flicked his tail in a bit of annoyance, before letting a mrrow of laughter escape him. He blew the leaf back into the air.
"Nice one, Bladekit!" He praised the kit for his well done attack. It was never right to critize a kit that had just beaten you, just because you were a sourpuss at games. The apprentice looked up, seeing a few cats around, before looking back at the kit.
"I'm lucky no one saw me." Letting out a mrrow of laughter at his comment. He pushed his paws against the kit, pretending that he couldn't budge the kit off him.
"Oof!" He said. "If you sit on me any longer, your gonna kill me." A purr rolled out from within his chest.
"Again?"

Bladekit laughed and wiggled around on the apprentice who was below him with evident pleasure at catching the apprentice off guard. His bright green gaze travelled all around the clearing proudly, though no cat was looking this way. Determined not to be disappointed that his success had been unobserved he looked back down at Frigidpaw and purred in amusement.
"If I killed a ColdClan apprentice I'd never be one myself!" he mewed with a smile and hopped off the cat, snagging the leaf as he moved away. The leaf tickled his nose and Bladekit sneezed, letting go of the leaf. Before he could grab it again, however, a blast of wind blew it away above the nursery and away.
"Aww.." he mewed sadly, his tail drooping in slight disappointment. Tail twitching he turned back to Frigidpaw with a shrug. "So much for the leaf. You're lucky, you get to actually do stuff as an apprentice."
Though he was very close to being six moons, he still ad to wait, and fighting the urge to just leave the camp to explore everything was getting harder and harder by the day. Sighing, the young kit pawed at the dirt.

"Your right," The young tom said, laughing. "I'm lucky that rule is there."
He saw how dissapointed the kit look, and stood up, shaking the dust that settled onto his fur during their brief tustle. He came up to the kit and touched his shoulders witha friendly tail tip. Bladekit was right anyways, there wasn't much at all to do as a kit. The tom smiled at him.
"I could take you out on a super secret mission." He lifted his tail in playful matter, and turned to the kit. He wondered if Bladekit would take the bait.

ooc|| its okay, mine is short too, I'm too wrapped up in making my new bio xD
Bladekit stretched out his legs, his ears perked at the thought of a secret mission. His consious constantly reminded him of not leaving the camp, but the young kit ignored it for the time being. His curiousness got the best of him. His tail lifted in pleasure.
"A secret mission?" he asked eagerly, resisting the urge to chase his tail. Opening his vivid green eyes eagerly he wiggled with excitement, waiting for Frigidpaw to tell him what this 'secret mission' was. Oh he hoped it would be fun! Maybe he'd get to chase some mice!

Dashingkit yawned, he had just woken up after a day of being lazy. He closed his jowls and blinked his eyes, in an attempt to clear the sleepy from his eyes. Soon the blurred images of non moving queens, kit's rumbling around, and the nursery walls came into effect. The queens chatted while sitting in their moss beds while all the smaller kits played together in the center. He was older then them though and he didn't like the fact that he only had his siblings to play with and be bothered with. He hated it here, it was horrible, Falconkit, he didn't see, but he could smell Bladekit.
His eyes quickly flickered out into the clearing from his moss bed. He kneaded the bed in front of him then stretched. Once he was done he stood up, shaking both of his hind legs and flickering his ears. He blinked lazily and then slowly stepped outside of his mossy bed. "Bladekit?" he mewed lazily still half asleep. He then popped his head out of the nursery. The light afternoon lights were bright and he retreated quickly blinking his eyes and trying to have them adjusted to the difference of light. Gently, nimbly, and daintily he stepped out into the light blinking his solid green eyes. He blinked looking towards the medicine cat's den first.
"That's always where he is," Dashingkit mused aloud. He knew quite well that his brother was aware of the scents of herbs and was familiar with their smells, Dashingkit himself didn't care, they were so trivial, he was going to be a warrior and a she-cat would take care of him… it was that simple. Of Corse he had his own stereotypes. Dashingkit smiled as he saw Bladekit playing with an apprentice. 'Aww, how I wish I could be one.' His thoughts sounded sad inside of him, but his face showed delight happiness. A leaf blew by his face and caught his eye, but only for a minute, he then turned towards his brother again.
Bounding quickly, he ran, his brown, red, and black pelt gleamed warmly against the noon sun. He licked his lips as he ran clumsily towards his brother. "Bladekit!" He mewed enthusiastically. "What are you doing? Hi …um…" He knew what the young tom's name was, he was really little when the tom got his apprentice's name, but he had heard it since. 'Iceypaw? Frostypaw? … Frigidpaw!' "Hi Frigidpaw!" He mewed smiling, his small white teeth gleaming. The tom cat waved his tail and then sat down smiling.

"First, the secret mission is just that, a secret," The black and white tom, said looking over his shoulder. He could hear another kit, so he kept his voice low. "There is this prey in the forest, that no warrior or apprentice could catch. You look like the one who can catch him."
He winked, swishing his tail. Then from behind him, someone is and Bladekit's name. The tom turned around fast, dropping low to the ground, and realized it was just a kit. He stared at the kit, and his scent filled his nose, realizing this was Dashingkit, Bladekit's brother.
"Hello there, Dashingkit." He smiled. He was laughing on the inside that he thought this kit was a warrior who had caught him trying to talk a kit into going on an adventure into the woods. The kit wouldn't get into deep trouble, or in trouble at all. Bladekit woulda been with an apprentice. Plus, Frigidpaw knew when the warriors were least active.
Straightening up, he turned back to Bladekit, and slightly nodded to him, wondering if the excited kit would keep quiet or invite his brother.

Bladekit was listening fervently to to Frigidpaw's words, twitching his tail eagerly. A prey no one else could catch?! But..wouldn't it be wrong to leave the camp? No, he'd be with an apprentice, wouldn't he? It couldn't hurt to leave, but why did Frigidpaw think he was the only one who could catch it? Maybe it was his size? He was still small, maybe they lived in small dens? His mind whirred until he heard the call of his name, and bright green eyes blinked back to reality.
"Hiya Dashingkit" he mewed happily, pawing playfully at his brother's ear. "Frigidpaw's gonna teach me a move. Wanna learn too?" he beamed excitedly. "I don't really like fighting but I'll have to defend myself somehow!"
He, in fact, sounded very serious, as he often was when it came to fighting moves. It was obvious the kit disapproved of the fighting. Fighting led to blood, which was only more work for Leafdapple. And hopefully one day I will help her! he thought excitedly, his tail twitching. Oh how he wanted to help heal the clan! It would be so more productive than just walking around the territory all day and scratching other Clan cats.
Bladekit continued to watch his brother, waiting for an answer. His tail twitched, betraying his impatience. He wanted to be on the mission now! There was no way of leaving the camp with his brother on his tail, but he was all friendliness to his brother, knowing he'd be eager to learn a new move from an apprentice. Warriors rarely played with the kits, seeing as they were too busy doing whatever warriors did.

Dashingkit let out a huff of air, biting at the breath he had let go- just for fun. The young tom tried to sit but excitement had grasped him and it caused his whole back to wiggle, almost beyond all control. He gave only a small grin before he stood back up once again, walking around in a paced pattern. Frigidpaw looked at him and he wondered what the apprentice and his brother were up to. It was not often when an apprentice played with a kit voluntarily. He knew that Bladekit would spill the beans though- if only to his brother.
"Hmm.. a move?" Dashingkit's mind danced around all the things that he could possibly learn. Was it to climb a tree and pounce on a bird? A rabbits den raid? Maybe it was to dig up a mouse! Dashingkit then paused and his body stopped moving. Maybe it was a fighting move! Dashingkit couldn't hold it in now, there was no possible way that he could say no to this tempting deal- but what was in it for Frigidpaw? Why would he be the one teaching Bladekit, of all kits, some super spectacular move? Why not teach a kit that wasn't bent on peace?
Dashingkit was about to say that he wanted to, in fact even scream it out, but then he looked at Frigidpaw. "Are you going to leave camp?" This was the one question he wanted to know. If he could get out of camp, if only for a few moments, without the fear of being caught, then he was up for it, he would be up for anything if that were the deal… and besides, he could easily wander away from Frigidpaw if he even turned his head and finally he'd be free, from everything, his mother, his family, the clan! That would be FUN!
"If it does, I'm up for it!" he squeaked. "And don't worry Bladekit, as long as I'm around you won't need to defend yourself!" He growled jumping around and batting at the air he sat up and laughed.

ooc:// lame, i know.
The black and white tom let them converse, and brought a paw to his lips and rasp his tounge over the fur bringing it lazily over one ear. He barely listen to their idle chat, his gaze drifitng off to look around the camp. He was thinking about the prey he would sent Bladekit after, and kinda hoped his converstaion with Dashingkit would end soon.
Instantly, his eyes snapped back to Dashingkit when he made a comment about leaving camp. Frigidpaw's body stiffened. If it was that obvious to a kit, a warrior would find out with no problem. He played cool, and relaxed, his gaze drifitng again. Maybe he was just inquiring.

Bladekit sighed at his brother, and pawed his ear, immediately uninterested in going outside of the camp. The minute his brother mentioned it, Bladekit didn't want to go. The more he thought about it, the more he just wanted to go find Leafdapple and talk to her.
"Nah. Actually, you learn the move Dashingkit, I'm going to see if Leafdapple is in her den." he muttered, and bounded away towards the den, flashing an apologetic look at Frigidpaw. Maybe one day the two of them could go looking for his secret 'prey'.
