The ColdClan leader stepped onto the Silent Stones, his paws warming themselves immeadiately. He shook his black and white fur, his orange eyes scanning the land. He turned to look back at his patrol.
"Alert me, or anyone else nearby if you see anything suspicious."
He was mainly saying this for the apprentics that had joined the Border Patrol, his warriors knew how to work a Border Patrol. His eyes rested on Shadowstrike for a moment, now knowing of his mutant powers, but he had said nothing to the rest of the clan. Shadowstrike would tell the clan when he wanted to.

Smilopaw smiled as he watched on the Silent Stones, frost crunching between his toes. It was good to get out, even though he was a bit hungry now... shaking his head, he sniffed the air. "I don't smell anything, do you?" he asked a nearby apprentice.

[&& Shadowstrike]Shadowstrike stood near Cedarstar and held the tom's gaze as he looked his way. He blinked and moved closer to Cedarstar, now standing to the side of the tom.
"LightClan has been here. A tom, black I think. It may have been Inkstar with a patrol. There were other cats here too."
He said, feeling something different. He headed for their border marking and stopped 3 foxlengths away. He wasn't in Shadowclan territory anymore. Nose to the air and mouth open he scanned searching for scents, for reminants. He scooted for a tree and sniffed at it. LightClan. Why, that was at least 4 foxlengths into ColdClan territory. Shadowstrike's tail bristled.
"Cedarstar, LightClan is trying to change the borders. Here's a marking."
He said flicking his tail to the tree he was at then he let his senses open. Now that he had one he'd be able to find the others with ease.
"I think that long over there is another, and behind me probably the flat rock."
He looked at Cedarstar making sure the tom knew he wasn't guessing, it was only so he wouldn't give anything away. His eyes were flickering with anger, lightly. How dare they?! Poison too? It came with the territory he supposed. Suddenly a new figure popped into his head. Inkstar. Shadowstrike leapt towards Cedarstar and stood in front of the tom a bit away. As if he were awaiting his decision, but really he had a silent message. 'Inkstar is coming...with a patroil.' [&& Inkstar]Inkstar sat back. He was a short distance from the ColdClan border now. He looked back for his patrol. A ColdClan patrol ought to be coming by or had came by by now. He knew this would be an issue, and he wondered what could result from it, but Lightclan needed more territory and this was the only direction they could expand. Cedarstar could expand much farther out without going into two-leg territory.

The gray she-cat lashed her tail silently as she followed her leader into ColdClan territory. She flinched ever so slightly as the harsh scents of the scent-markings along the border entered her tiny gray nose. She looked at Inkstar, her gray eyes studying his expression and knew that he was worried about ColdClan's reaction. She rolled her eyes. LightClan needed more territory, but surely Inkstar should have spoken of this at the Gathering, not merely decided to move the borders without warning. Fatescorned moved up so that her shoulder was at Inkstar's flank, she could scent the ColdClan patrol that was heading their way.
{I'm assuming it's open to ColdClan cats too}
The sokoke cat bounded along behind the patrol, hoping they hadn't noticed he was late. He was the oldest apprentice, if the patrol went well, perhaps his ceremony would be tonight. His ocean-colored eyes swept the surrounding landscape, everything looked normal, but he knew that something was wrong. Shadowstrike stood in front of Cedarstar, his eyes flickering with anger. Seapaw padded closer, coming to a stop beside his fellow apprentice. As he did so, his nose was hit by a strong scent of LightClan. What in the name of - he broke off as realization dawned upon him. Dirty fiends! They moved the border!

Cedarstar growled at the information. He was glad he had brought many cats with him to the border patrol.
"I smell LightClan nearby."
He said, ears dropping. He turned, looking for the cats who had dared to move the border. He would not take this lightly!
She walked along with her leader, wondering why he had decided to take part of ColdClan's territory, surely enough the black and white leader of ColdClan would not take this lightly. Then her mind focused to Shadowstrike, Knife and Sapphire. She lifted her nose. She knew ColdClan was near.
"ColdClan's near, Inkstar."

Smilopaw whipped around, baring his oversized fangs in anger and embarrassment. Of course they had moved the border, how could he not have noticed it. But then, he calmed down. "We should talk the the patrol," he said, trying to keep his voice steady and trying not to seem like he was telling cats what to do. "Maybe their warriors where acting against Inkstar's wishes."

Streammist smelled the air not to sure She hated the idea of running into the purple she-cat named Poison. She looked at Ceaderstar hoping this patrol was safe she was kind of shocked when he said they had to patrol Lightclan's border..... The same place her and Frigidpaw yesterday ran into trouble.

saNdStONE Tall ears listened as words of LightClan's defilement of the Clan borders was thrown around the area. He cringed every time someone spoke something about LightClan's actions. When Cedarstar warned his patrol that LightClan's own patrol was near, Sandstone's muscles tensed. One defending patrol encountering a patrol who had attempted to expand their clan's border was never good. His silver claws were still sheathed, but any movement toward LightClan's territory could make his heart beat faster than it already was. He eyed the black and white leader quickly, wondering what his next order would be. Then the words of an apprentice relaxed him. Perhaps it was defiant warriors acting against their leader. Inkstar and Cedarstar wouldn't be too pleased about that.

[haha, yeah.]
The ColdClan leader, turned to look at the apprentice threw narrowed eyes. He breathed, and nodded. The apprentice was right. He should speak to the patrol before making assumptions.
"We shall go speak to the patrol."
He gruffed, lifting his laid back ears to listen for the LightClan patrol. He flicked his tail and started to head off towards the LightClan patrol.
"Well, let's go speak, then."

Inkstar nodded as he was alerted to ColdClan being near. He knew that, he could scent them as well. He stood, coming from his hiding and walking towards the patrol, his tail flicking to signal his own warriors to follow. He approached Cedarstar knowing the tom wouldn't like this. Inkstar should have said something at the gathering, but with all the commotion there wasn't much time. The other issue was much more pressing. As he approached Cedarstar he dipped his head, a normal greeting.
"Hello Cedarstar."
He said cooly.

Cedarstar had seen Inkstar step out from the bushes on LightClan's land, and stepped clsoer, his warriors in tow. His voice remained calm, but inside, the tom was bristling.
"Hello Inkstar,"
He said, dipping his head in a leader to leader greet.
"I assume you know why we meet?"
He found it wierd, that he, and Inkstar, had both been on patrols, at the same time on their border. Ahwell, makes it easier.
The purple she-cat stepped close beside Inkstar, following his movements. The she-cat turned a blind eye to Streamist, not acknowledging they had met under not so good circumstances. Infact, her gaze seemed to be locked on Cedarstar and Inkstar, wondering what the two leaders would do.

Inkstar nodded.
"I do Cedarstar."
He said watching the leader's patrol follow him forward.
"We have obviously made a statement. I can imagine you aren't happy about this. I would have mentioned it at the gathering, but there wasn't really a chance."
Inkstar paused and looked back at his own patrol.
"LightClan has been having issues with badgers on our territory. A family has invaded our northern border and we've had to cut off much of our land there. I have moved our border with you in hopes of negotiation. You have territory to expand into, we don't."
He said, voice deifant. He was standing on what he'd done. He hadn't taken nearly as much as had been taken from them. It would've been unreasonable to. ColdClan didn't have that much to expand into, but surely they'd understand? Inkstar didn't want a battle, but if it had to come to that...
