Coral stands out- she always has, she always will. Even among the mutants she stood out. Her uniqueness- for lack of a better word- radiates from every pour in her body, seeping from her soul into the air around her. Like heroin to a junkie, she draws you to her, a dark magnet pulling you in with its powerful, vivid- again, for lack of a better word- emotion.Personality:
But why? Strip Coral of her unworldly features and you find nothing more than a young cat, mid-way through apprenticeship. The cat is a bit on the skinny side, true- she never quite achieved normal mass, due a traumatic, sci-fi style childhood and the accompanying nightmares that made nights a thing of growling and whimpering and praying to whatever force is out there to kill her or save her. But bare-bones Coral really is nothing special.
Even when you add on her human-generated features, there is still none of that wet-your-pants, twisting-in-sweatridden-sheets energy. True, there is her fur- Coarse, almost pebbly waterproof stuff- snow white and splotched with magenta. Then, of course, there is her tail- sometimes narrow and whiplike, other times unfurling, peacocklike, in a fluffy pink mass of fur that can easily wrap around her small frame, keeping her warm. And then there are her paws- webbed, with reptilian like claws scything out of the tips.
But that is not the source of the unnamable emotion that drips from Coral- no, those are interesting, intriguing, but not addictive, all-consuming, and bone chilling. No, it is Coral's eyes. Deep, deep blue, like the very corners of a blue sky, or some dark Caribbean sea. Sapphire fire blazes from them, making the weaker minds of prey fall into step with her and vaguely affecting some cats, so they turn their heads towards her, wondering who on earth that pink cat is.
Coral has changed in the moons since her escape- her cynicism, distrustfulness and sarcasm still hold fast, but now they mix in with tart friendliness and a less black sense of humor. Introduction to a clan and the sense of unity and meaningness that belong with it have made her a happier cat, a more social one. The terror of having to go back to the lab and the distrust of authority figures linger in the back of her mind, but otherwise, Coral seems to be adjusting well. Coral is happy to start her apprenticeship (albeit a little late) and works hard to master the skills every apprentice learns, not just using her power of prey to bring them to her. But even though she seems to be making friends, Coral is still ill at ease at times. Her eyes powers have grown, and cats heads turn when she walks their way, when she wants something, friends nearby tend to get it for her, and her sixth sense pounds in her skull, ominously warning her of danger on the horizon.History:
Do I have to put anything for this?Role Playing Example: Other:
Quick list of Coral's abilities:
-can hypnotize prey, vague hypnotism to other cats, depends on mental strength.
- webbed paws and waterproof fur
-sixth sense for danger
I realize it looks like a lot, but it's all pretty minor stuff... like it said, Coral's the hybrid. If you want me to take something off, I'll do it.
